New Baltimore Memorial Day Parade – 2009

CAP looked great in the Memorial Day Parade & Ceremonies 25 May 09

Folks may have mistaken us for JrROTC because we marched behind them in the parade. However, the squadron banner told another story.

We displayed all the proper customs and courtesies and our uniforms looked great.  We marched and used our winning drill team skills to show off our professionalism.  Our new banner worked great in telling people who we were.  Our cadets should be proud that they showed themselves to be the “best of the best.”

Way to go cadets!

OCS Bivouac Weekend 8-10 May, 2009

While attending the Oakland Composite Squadron Bivouac weekend, C/CMSgt David V.,C/CMSgt Mary Y. and C/MSgt Zechariah V. attained GTM3 qualifications by participating in multiple sorties; Chief Zechariach V. and Chief Mary Y. gained mission credits and sign offs to become GTM2 trainees. All of the cadets plan to attend training over the next few weeks at bivouacs and training missions like Operation Wolverine. Hopefully, by the time SAR Academy rolls around, these cadets will have high marks in Ground Operations and plenty of training to help others get signed off and start a ground team.
